After a crazy 2020, I hope the festive period provided the opportunity to zoom out and reflect on the year gone by and the period up ahead. The downtime spent with family and friends has been a dream and has filled me with a sense of gratitude. I hope you all get to experience something similar.
This post will be short. It serves two purposes:
To thank you. I started writing and publishing one year ago. In that time I’ve been lucky enough to have people from around the world reach out with words of kindness or to chat about a post. The conversations I’ve had and people I’ve met have been my favourite part of this journey. Thank you to each of you who played a role in that.
To provide an update on what comes next. My writing isn’t going anywhere, but this weekly newsletter is. I’ve decided to focus my attention on longer-form writing. I’ve noticed that I put more effort into the longer essays than these short newsletters. That makes it far more valuable for you and me both. I’ll continue to share the short-form content - ideas, quotes and links - that this newsletter has typically contained, on Twitter.
I’ve got exciting plans for coming pieces and a few big projects in the works for next year. While they’re still being finalised, I’ve focused my attention on making them as interesting and valuable as possible. I’ll provide updates soon!
You’ll continue to receive emails from me whenever a new post is available. You can find all my existing posts on my new website.
As always, feel free to reach out to me at any point!
